Upon
Graduating from the University of Wisconsin, Dr. Myron Kellner earned
his Doctor of Dental Science Degree from the New York University, College
of Dentistry. After serving two years at the U.S. Naval Training Center,
he entered private practice in the Baltimore area in 1971.
Staying in the forefront of his field has always been a high priority
for Dr. Kellner, and his professional skills have been continuously enhanced
by advanced training in cosmetic, restorative and implant dentistry.
In recognition of having completed 2,000 hours of advanced training,
he has achieved a fellowship and mastership in the Academy of General
Dentistry. He has also completed 8 levels at the L.D. Pankey Institute,
one of the most advanced educational comprehensive programs for dentists
in the world. In 1991, he completed a 350 hour comprehensive program
in implant dentistry at Howard University, a course of study accredited
by the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He has recently completed
two years of study at the New York Institute for Advanced Studies in
Dental Aesthetics, a program attended by a select group of outstanding
dentists from practices throughout the country. As a tribute to his mastery
of the institute's rigorous curriculum, Dr. Kellner was invited to join
its teaching faculty in February 1998.
Dr. Kellner's role as an educator is not limited to the classroom; he
has dedicated his practice to informing and educating his patients about
conservative cosmetic dental techniques that will have a positive impact
on their appearance and self-confidence. A consummate professional, Dr.
Kellner is always responsive to his patients' needs and concerns, and
is firmly committed to providing excellent dental care in a non-threatening
and comfortable manner. He has always been at the forefront of advances
in dentistry and introduced techniques such as the use of electronic
anesthesia, the Relaxodent patient comfort system and microabrasion to
the Baltimore area in appearances on local network television. Through
the use of these modern techniques he has created a very comfortable
and pleasant experience for his patients.
Dr. Kellner's dedication to the advancement of dentistry is especially
evident in his participation and leadership in both local and national
dental organizations. He is an active member of the Academy of General
Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic
Dentistry and the L.D. Pankey Alumni. From 1991-1992 he served as president
of the Maryland Academy of General Dentistry. In 1993, Dr. Kellner was
elected to the American College of Dentists.
An avid runner, Dr. Kellner has completed eighteen marathons, including
the world renowned New York and Montreal Marathons. He and his wife Tamar
are both accomplished skiers, golfers, and tennis players -- a love they
share with their children and son-in-law. Daughter Allyson and son-in-law
Edwin are the proud parents of Emma -- Dr. and Mrs. Kellners' first grandchild.
Son Jon attends Duke University Law school.
